This article brings up some great points as to why people should have the option of working from home if the position can allow it. If you work for a call center, it won't work, if you work for an ad agency, you can have a green light! I like that they did their research and found how much money and space most companies waste to have cubes for their employees and how much comuters would save if they didn't drive to work everyday. Gas is getting higher, and it isn't showing any signs of stopping, so why not give it a break, cut back on gas, if we cut back enough it may hurt those huge gas companies and they may have to cut some prices as well. Also, the way the economy is turning, we sure could use money breaks anywhere we can find them, and increasing productivity won't hurt anyone, unless you've already overproduced something, but you're in trouble anyway, and probably have to lay people off. What I'm saying is, this is more about power from people who oversee employees than it is about business anymore, so get off your power horse and do your company a favor!
