So, I haven't written on Allen's blog for a while, nothing much of personal interest, but this caught my attention. Not because he's had water damage or because of the hearing loss, (although that did bring to mind the sound lecture from 2 weeks ago and the midterm last week)it was the sound. I can't sleep anymore without a fan running because there are so many other sounds in an apartment building from other people or just settling of things in their places. I'm paranoid the way it is right now due to all the vandalisms in town, and I'm a very light sleeper! I love to run a fan and if you add a humidifier into the mix, even better! But I've never really had a problem with hearing someone... until you add the AC into the mix, those old things are noisy! Their sound helps me sleep sounder too though, so I'm not complaining!
